Throughout his oeuvre, A. Ramachandran has been fascinated by the eternal pulsating forces of nature found in Rajasthan particularly in the Bhil villages like Pai, Undri and others around Udaipur. The simplicity and directness of the tribal people and the beautiful, wild landscape captivates the artist and he constantly derives inspiration from it. The decorative elements and myths become an integral part of his works and his powerful line along with a greater understanding of colour and form create a dramatic ambience.
